Scripture
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed.  These scriptures in their entirety are the norm and guide for the actions and ministry of Faith Lutheran Church (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Matthew 5:18; John 16:12-13).

Trinity
We believe that these scriptures testify to the one true God, who is triune, existing eternally in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who entered into human history at a unique place and time being fully man and fully God.  He came as a missionary among the people whom he loved, seeking to save them from sin and grant eternal life.  We believe that he accomplished the salvation of all who believe in him by his crucifixion on the cross, death and resurrection.  He ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of God where he continues as representative, intercessor and Advocate (Acts 1:9-10; Hebrews 7:25; Hebrews 9:24; Romans 8:34; 1 John 2:1-2).

Sacraments
We believe that God in the Bible commands us to participate in the sacraments of the church, Baptism and the Lord's Supper.  In the great commission Jesus told his disciples to make disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching in his name.  Likewise he commanded his disciples to celebrate the Lord's Supper in remembrance of him.  These two sacraments connect all believers to each other and their Jesus life, death and resurrection (Matthew 28:16-20; Luke 22:19-23).

Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ workinging in the world.  The church is more than a physical building, it is all people from all times and places who believe in Jesus as their savior.  The head of the church is Christ and so there are distinct roles in the church, there are no rulers.  Personal relationships among God's people are governed by love, kindness and forgiveness.  Biblical principles are used for problem solving, and everyone has a commitment to each other (Phillipians 2:3-5).

Disciples
We believe that true discipleship is a lifelong commitment to prayer and the fervent study of God's word.  We cannot be content to be lukewarm Christians who follow Jesus in word but not in deed (2 Timothy 3:14-17; Revelation 3:16).

Stewards
As God's created beings, we own nothing.  All that exists belongs to God; we are simply his stewards.  God blesses us with his gifts of time, talents and treasures and we use these gifts to futher his kingdom and spread the gospel to all nations. (1 Corinthians 12:13-31; 1 Corinthians 7:17; 1 Thessalonians 3:11-12).

Mission
Our God given mission is to understand culture, realize needs, and live in community so that we might transform lives for Jesus (Acts 17:22-23, 20:32; 1 Timothy 5:1-8; Romans 12:2).

Denominational Affilation
Our church is a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod with whom we hold all beliefs in common.
